SIDE QUESTS

Improving your skills and exploring new areas can be just as exciting as the main storyline. Besides, it also makes for a more well-rounded character!

With so many side quests available, here are some of my favorites – and the lessons I learned along the way.

DIGITAL ILLUSTRATIONS: A COLLECTION

A collection of digital illustrations completed as "refreshers" and for fun between other projects.

Created using Photoshop and Procreate

3D: IMAGINE A SPACE...

An experiment in using new software to visualize a communal work space.

Created using Planner 5D.

3D: BASANDRA, BATTLE SERAPH

An exercise in challenging myself with elements I've found difficult while remaining faithful to the source material: hard surface modeling, the female form, and dynamic posing.

Based upon official Magic: The Gathering card art by Terese Nielsen.

Created using ZBrush.

3D: HACKSAW, THE WANDERER

An exercise in putting a fresh 3D spin on an established 2D visual identity that will draw in a new audience and revitalize interest in their existing audience, all while remaining faithful to the brand without alienating die-hard fans.

Based upon official game art.
Created using Autodesk Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, and Photoshop.

VIDEO EDITING: THE GRIND

Telling a visually stunning story of the intense process of being a "creative" that juxtaposes the wonder of imagination against the mental toll it can take and the unhealthy habits that it can foster - all without words.

Created using Final Cut Pro X
